The gala of the documentary “Geleceğimiz için Üretmeye Değer'’ (Worth Producing for Our Future) shot by award-winning documentarian Tuluhan Tekelioğlu with the support of AXA Sigorta, took place on November 16th at Kanyon Cinemas. The documentary sheds light on agricultural production in Turkey and contains important messages about climate change and sustainability.
AXA Sigorta continues to support art in line with its brand purpose of 'Protecting what matters to people for the progress of humanity.’ The leading insurance company recently contributed to the realization of the documentary “Geleceğimiz için Üretmeye Değer'’ (Worth Producing for Our Future) by award-winning documentarian Tuluhan Tekelioğlu. The gala of the documentary, which focuses on agricultural production in Turkey and presents striking data on the effects of climate change, took place at Kanyon on November 16th.
The documentary “Geleceğimiz için Üretmeye Değer'’ (Worth Producing for Our Future) brings to the screen the insights of Murat Tapik, Founder of Datça Murat Çiftliği, Dr. Hüseyin Tapik, Dr. Bülent Şık, Prof. Dr. Yavuz Tekelioğlu, Former Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ayşin Işıkgece, and AXA Sigorta CEO Yavuz Ölken on topics such as local production, sustainable and ecological agriculture, agricultural policies, cooperatives, and climate change. The documentary delivers a common message emphasizing the need for agricultural policies that support both ecological balance and biological diversity while also supporting producers. In the documentary, AXA Sigorta CEO Yavuz Ölken also calls for action towards sustainability.
Reflecting on the documentary premiered at the gala for the first time with the audience, Ölken made the following statements:

The director of the documentary, Tuluhan Tekelioğlu, said the following:
Our rate of consumption is outpacing the Earth's ability to renew itself. It is time to take action for our children, for our future! One-third of the land on our planet has been damaged to the point where it cannot produce food. Unfortunately, humanity betrayed the land that provides its food... Due to climate change, 23% of Turkey's lands are at a high risk of desertification. Modern agriculture has exhausted and sickened our soil. Our lands are sounding the alarm. The organic matter content is very low. If this continues, future generations won't have access to food. With all these concerns in mind, I set out to talk to people who are taking action and shouldering responsibility. Our documentary, brought to life in collaboration with AXA Sigorta, sends a message to people of all ages, communities, NGOs, and decision-makers, saying, 'It's not too late, now do something for your future.’ Another point that makes our documentary valuable for me is that my father, as one of the scientists who put his hand under the stone, is featured in our documentary. This film is a warning to humanity!”
