As Turkey’s first national insurance company, Anadolu Sigorta is celebrating its 100th anniversary by launching significant projects aimed at bringing young professionals into the sector. Through its collaboration with Konya Chamber of Commerce (KTO) Karatay University, Anadolu Sigorta is working to inspire the next generation of insurance professionals who will shape the industry's future.
Established in 1925 under the directive of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the company has upheld its mission as "Turkey’s school of insurance." Expanding its university partnerships under the Anadolu Sigorta Academy, the company has added a new initiative to its existing collaborations. Following its 2024 partnership with Ankara University Beypazarı Vocational School, Anadolu Sigorta has now launched a new project with KTO Karatay University. The protocol, signed on February 18 by Anadolu Sigorta General Manager Z. Mehmet Tuğtan and KTO Karatay University Rector Prof. Dr. Fevzi Rifat Ortaç, will be implemented in the Spring Term of 2025. This collaboration aims to introduce new talent to the insurance sector and support youth employment.
Anadolu Sigorta General Manager Z. Mehmet Tuğtan emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation and social welfare, stating: "With its 100-year legacy of leading the sector, Anadolu Sigorta continues to drive progress with innovative products and services while also contributing to societal well-being and Turkey’s sustainable growth. Through new collaborations, our company remains dedicated to fostering the professional development of young talents, inspiring future insurance professionals, and continuing our success story into the next century."
KTO Karatay University Rector Prof. Dr. Fevzi Rifat Ortaç highlighted the comprehensive nature of the program, saying: "Designed by Anadolu Sigorta Academy with contributions from university faculty, the 14-week training program aims to prepare students for the industry in the best possible way. The curriculum includes practical insurance courses, technical branch training, detailed claims processes, product knowledge, and system training delivered by experienced professionals. This initiative will provide students with a well-rounded education, enabling them to enter the insurance sector with confidence and expertise." |
