Duality
Date: Thursday, May 15, 2025 ~ Sunday, June 29, 2025
Venue: Loft Art
Developed as part of Akfen Holding’s Social Responsibility Proj-
ect, LOFT ART presents its exhibition titled “Duality.”
The *Duality* exhibition aims to construct a dialogue shaped
around the concept of dualism.
Through paired presentations based on contrasts, similarities,
and transitions, it proposes a multilayered discourse between
artists and their works.
In modern and contemporary art practices, duality exists not only as a form of opposition but also as one of the fundamen-
tal tools for generating meaning. The exhibition explores axes such as body and soul, nature and artificiality, reality and
representation, movement and stillness—presenting them as dual narratives that interact with and transform one another.
The exhibition setup is structured through duo pairings. Each pair invites the viewer to engage in intellectual reflection,
not only through formal and thematic similarities but also through their contrasts and unexpected harmonies. These
pairings establish explicit or implicit dialogues between the artists’ production methods and content worlds, forming the
conceptual backbone of the exhibition.
These dialogues occur not only between the works themselves but also between the artist’s mental landscape and the view-
er’s perception. The exhibition invites the audience to observe not just the visual objects but also the forms of relationships,
contact points, and ruptures between them.
Running from May 15 to June 29, 2025, *Duality* will feature canvas, video art, digital drawing, and photography works
by 13 independent artists.
The proceeds from works sold at Loft Art exhibitions will contribute to projects by the Human Resources Education and
Health Foundation of Türkiye (TİKAV), operating under Akfen Holding and focusing on women, youth, and children.
