Unico Sigorta Plants 25,000 Saplings for the Future with ''My First Insurance''

Unico Sigorta has launched the third edition of its sapling donation project under “My First Insurance,” a product developed to help children develop insurance awareness at an early age. Carried out under the motto “Every policy turns into one sapling,” the initiative aims to plant 25,000 saplings in partnership with Ege Orman Vakfı , with one sapling planted on behalf of each child who is the holder of a purchased policy.

Unico Sigorta is undertaking another meaningful project through “My First Insurance,” a product developed to contribute to raising insurance awareness from an early age and to help children become aware of the risks they may face in the future. The initiative, which began on Monday, September 14, will continue through the start of Insurance Week on October 5.

As part of the project, “My First Insurance” provides coverage for material and bodily damages that children may cause to third parties at school, kindergarten, or on school buses, while also providing coverage for expenses related to emergency inpatient medical treatment. Under the initiative, which will be carried out with the approach “Every policy turns into one sapling,” one sapling will be planted through Ege Orman Vakfı on behalf of each child who is the holder of a purchased policy. This year, the project aims to bring 25,000 saplings together with the soil in the Osmancalı area of Manisa.

A contribution of 65,000 saplings in three years

In the first year of this ongoing initiative, carried out by Unico Sigorta in partnership with Ege Orman Vakfı, 20,000 saplings were donated in İzmir’s Menemen district in 2024, followed by another 20,000 in Bursa’s Uluabat area in 2025, resulting in the creation of two separate Unico Sigorta and Ege Orman Vakfı. With the 25,000-sapling forest planned for Osmancalı, Manisa, this year, a total of 65,000 saplings will have been planted over three years.

Growing with the contribution of Unico Sigorta Acentalıkları, the initiative is reaching more children while also contributing to increased insurance awareness and stronger environmental sensitivity.
