Garanti BBVA Emeklilik Closed 2025 with Above-Sector-Average Growth and Strong Profitability
Garanti BBVA Emeklilik outperformed the sector average in 2025, recording 89% growth in voluntary Private Pension System (BES) fund size and 87% growth in total BES fund size. Increasing its market share in under-18 BES to 20.8%, the company completed the year with a strong performance, achieving 108% premium growth in life insurance and total technical profit of TRY 7.2 billion.
As of the end of 2025, Garanti BBVA Emeklilik delivered strong financial results by achieving growth above sector averages in both individual pension and insurance lines. The company reinforced its sustainable growth through momentum in both fund size and premium production.
As of year-end, Garanti BBVA Emeklilik recorded technical profit of TRY 463 million from its individual pension operations, while technical profit from insurance operations reached TRY 6.7 billion. With these results, the company closed 2025 with a total technical profit of TRY 7.2 billion.
In 2025, Garanti BBVA Emeklilik maintained its sector leadership with a 40% market share in digital sales.

Above-Sector-Average Growth in BES
Garanti BBVA Emeklilik reached a voluntary Private Pension System (BES) fund size of TRY 299.4 billion, recording 89% growth in this area and outperforming the sector average of 78%, becoming one of the fastest-growing companies in terms of fund size. Total BES fund size rose to TRY 317 billion, exceeding the sector average of 76% with a growth rate of 87%.
Garanti BBVA Emeklilik reached a total of 3.5 million BES participants, positioning itself above the sector’s 5% increase with a growth rate of 6%. The share of digital sales within total BES sales was 53%.
Garanti BBVA Emeklilik also delivered strong performance on the contribution side, with its voluntary BES contribution amount reaching TRY 103.8 billion. While the company achieved 110% growth in this area, the sector average remained at 82%. The additional contribution amount totaled TRY 40.7 billion in 2025, drawing attention with a growth rate of 218%.
In the Automatic Enrollment System (OKS), Garanti BBVA Emeklilik’s number of participants reached 1.9 million, exceeding the sector’s 3.8% increase with a growth rate of 6.1%. OKS fund size reached TRY 17.6 billion, with growth in this area recorded at 53.8%.
Strong Performance in Under-18 BES
Garanti BBVA Emeklilik gained strong momentum in the under-18 BES segment, reaching 341,000 participants in 2025 and becoming the company that acquired the highest number of participants during the year. With 22% growth, it outperformed the sector average of 16%. During the same period, the company’s market share increased from 19.6% to 20.8%. The under-18 BES fund size reached TRY 18 billion, with growth in this area recorded at 142%.
108% Increase in Life Insurance Premiums
Garanti BBVA Emeklilik also outperformed the sector in life insurance, generating TRY 20 billion in premiums as of December 2025. During the same period, while the sector grew by 79%, the company achieved an increase of 108%. Premium production in credit-linked life insurance reached TRY 13.7 billion with 110% growth. Savings and premium-refund products recorded TRY 4.2 billion in premiums and 85% growth. In need-based life insurance products, strong growth of 165% was achieved with premium production of TRY 2 billion.
163% Growth in Group Products
Garanti BBVA Emeklilik also recorded growth in its group products compared with the previous year. Across Group Life Insurance, Group Surgical Insurance, and Group Critical Illness Insurance, total premium production reached TRY 844 million, achieving a growth rate of 163%. The company’s market share in group products stood at 33%.
The Digital Fund Advisor “Otomatik Fon Koçu” Delivered Gains in 2025
Customers benefiting from the digital fund advisory service Otomatik Fon Koçu achieved an average return of 50.9% in interest-bearing recommendation groups in 2025. During the same period, inflation stood at 30.9%, while alternative investment instruments delivered returns of 42% for KYD-Deposit (net), 14.6% for BIST 100, and 21.4% for USD/TRY. Accordingly, Otomatik Fon Koçu stood out by generating returns above both inflation and major alternative investment instruments. In 2025, voluntary BES funds delivered an average return of 57.1%, while OKS funds returned 37.4%. With a return of 99.8%, Altın Katılım EYF was among the highest-performing funds in the sector, while the Silver Fund Basket, issued as of 7 October, delivered a 46% return from inception to year-end.
