        In today’s rapidly escalating climate crisis, catastrophic risks have
        become one of the most critical agenda items for the insurance sector. As

        the frequency and severity of events such as forest fires, floods, droughts,
        tornadoes, and extreme rainfall increase, these developments deeply
        affect not only disaster management but also financial risk management.

        Recent disasters in Türkiye and around the world are forcing insurance
        and reinsurance companies to reconsider their risk modelling strategies,
        policy structures, and capital adequacy approaches.
