TSB Chairmen Benli: ''Our priority in traffic insurance is the interests of our people, our sector, and our state.’'

Atilla Benli, Chairman of the Insurance Association of Turkey, stated that they are working to develop permanent solutions in compulsory traffic insurance that concerns 25 million vehicle owners and said: “We will continue to do our best to support SEDDK in structural reforms and to offer all kinds of improvement proposals in favor of our insurers.”

Atilla Benli, the Chairman of the Insurance Association of Turkey (TSB), the guiding organization of the insurance sector, made statements about the studies carried out on compulsory traffic insurance.

Stating that they are happy to follow the explanations of the Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Agency (SEDDK), Benli said, “We are working in harmony and cooperation with SEDDK on the solution of current problems, especially traffic. We have prepared our determinations and solution proposals on compulsory traffic insurance with great care and presented them to SEDDK”.

Underlining that they have created separate working groups for health, BES, financial insurances, and life insurance in addition to compulsory traffic insurance, the Chairman of TSB said:

“With its 70 member companies, TSB is working with all its might in the light of the principle of ’Insurance is to know value.’ In addition to the member companies of our Union, we are also in cooperation with various professional organizations. Our priority is to protect our people, industry, and state interests. We have shared our road maps to improve our sector with the working groups established in this direction with SEDDK. We have offered all our contribution by moving forward in harmony with our Regulatory Authority.”

Stating that he gratefully commemorates all our martyrs and veterans, especially Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, on the occasion of September 9, the Liberation Day of Izmir, Chairman Benli said, “We are aware of how valuable it is to make the national economy strong in a country that has achieved its independence with such difficulties.”

Benli said: “This consciousness motivates us to work harder, produce, and serve our people, our sector, and our state even more. In compulsory traffic insurance and other insurance products, we do not know how to stop to implement our national interests, whatever is in favor of our insurers and our sector. After that, we will continue to do our best to support SEDDK in structural reforms and present all kinds of improvement proposals in favor of our insurers. We are waiting for a good result from SEDDK.”
