According to the data of the Pension Monitoring Center (E.G.M.)
dated 24.06.2022; the total number of participants in BES in-
creased by 535 thousand people compared to the same period of
the previous year and reached 7 million 446 thousand people at
the end of the second quarter of the year. During this period, the
number of participants included in the system through automat-
ic participation (OKS) increased by 968 thousand people com-
pared to the same period last year and amounted to 7 million
742 thousand people.

At the end of the second quarter of the year, the total fund size
in BES increased by 73.13 percent compared to the same period
last year and amounted to 258 billion 255 million TL, while the
fund size of participants who were in the system with automatic
participation increased by 60.57% over the same period and
amounted to 20 billion 738 million TL.

At the end of the second quarter, the number of participants who
retired from the BES was 182 thousand 987 people, and the
amount of the BES state contribution fund was 30 billion 893
