                                                                Üçüncü Mekan, located on the third gate of the Kemerburgaz
                                                                City Forest, appeals to those who are looking for a spacious
                                                                place intertwined with nature.

                                                                Food and drink, music and design are at the forefront of
                                                                Üçüncü Mekan, which comes to life with the goal of creat-
                                                                ing a creatively functional but also enjoyable space in the
                                                                middle of the city forest. It is also designed with the logic of
                                                                the square to host many events such as workshops, creative
                                                                interviews, sports events, street bazaars and concerts. Recy-
                                                                cled materials were used in the space, which was designed in
                                                                accordance with the principles of sustainable living. Üçüncü
                                                                Mekan includes a design workshop directed by architects and
                                                                designers Elif Çeçen, Zeynep Tümertekin and Talya Hakim,
                                                                as well as a square and stage area for concerts and interviews.
                                                                Food is served in Üçüncü Mekan in the form of take-away. In
                                                                the kitchen of the place, the young chef Kuzey Taran demon-
                                                                strates his skills. Slice pizzas, vegetarian Merci burgers, four-
                                                                spicy grilled potatoes and tomato confit are the favorite deli-
                                                                cacies of the place. If you are looking for an accompanist next
                                                                to your coffee, you can give a cinnamon bun a chance.

                                                                So, where does the name of Üçüncü Mekan come from? Ac-
                                                                cording to the architectural theory of the American urban so-
                                                                ciologist Ray Oldenburg, the primary spaces are our home, the
                                                                secondary spaces are our workplaces, and the tertiary spaces
                                                                are the places where we socialize and move away from the
                                                                tension of other areas. That’s the theory behind the name of
                                                                Üçüncü Mekan, which aims to socialize its visitors and take
                                                                them away from stress. It is open between 09.00-17.00 on
                                                                weekdays and 09.00-21.00 on weekends; closed on Mondays.
