According to the data of the Pension Monitoring Center (E.G.M.) dated
25.03.2022; the total number of participants in BES increased by 350 thou-
sand people compared to the same period of the previous year and reached
7 million 260 thousand people at the end of the first quarter of the year.
During this period, the number of participants included in the system through
automatic participation (OKS) increased by 849 thousand people compared
to the same period last year and amounted to 7 million 494 thousand people.
Participants who are included in the system through automatic participation
continue to outstrip the number of BES participants.

At the end of the first quarter of the year, the total fund size in BES increased
by 68.18 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to
232 billion 412 million TL, while the fund size of participants who were in
the system with automatic participation increased by 49.78% over the same
period and amounted to 17 billion 935 million TL.

At the end of the first quarter, the number of participants who retired from
the BES was 174 thousand 791 people, and the amount of the BES state
contribution fund was 24 billion 711 million TL. However, the number of
OKS employers turned out to be 244 thousand 101 people, and the amount of
the OKS state contribution fund amounted to 848 million 325 thousand TL.
